Senate Calls for Speedy Trial of Oil Thieves

The Senate has called for the expeditious trial of crude oil thieves.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who made the call at a meeting with Security Chiefs in Abuja, stated that oil theft amounts to economic sabotage against the people and the nation.

He urged security agents to channel their efforts towards dealing with oil thieves.

The Senate President, however, appealed to Nigerian Courts across the country to expeditiously adjudicate cases bothering on crude oil stealing and expose those behind the racketeering.
