Lagos to Prosecute Quack Traditional Medicine Practitioners

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has vowed to prosecute unregistered Traditional Medicine Practitioners across the State.

San-Olu, who was represented by the State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, made the vow during an event to commemorate the 2022 African Traditional Medicine Day in Ikeja, the State Capital.

Meanwhile, the Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Jaji, urged practitioners to improve their practice through standardization of their operations.

Umahi Swears-in Council Chairmen

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has inaugurated the newly-elected 13 Council Chairmen and the 171 Councilors in the State. Umahi, during the inauguration disclosed that the order granted by the State High Court empowered him to swear in the Council Chairmen. Recall that a Federal High Court had voided the said election that produced the 13 Local Government Chairmen that was conducted by the State Independent Electoral Commission.
