NCDC Confirms New Cases of Monkey Pox

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 15 new cases of Monkey pox in Nine States and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to report released by the Agency, a total of 172 cases have now been confirmed in the Country in 2022.

The report revealed that no new death was recorded within the period under review.

The NCDC, however, added that efforts are ongoing to strengthen surveillance at the National and Sub-National levels, to increase awareness, and to promptly detect and respond to the outbreak.
