INEC Gives Reason for Closure of Voters Registration

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has revealed that extending the Continuous Voters Registration, CVR, would frustrate other scheduled activities towards the conduct of the 2023 general elections.

INEC National Commissioner for Information and Voters Education, Festus Okoye, disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja.

Recall that there has been agitation for an extension of the deadline for the CVR after it ended on Sunday.
