FRSC to Enforce Ban of Spy Plate Number by Police

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Boboye Oyeyemi, has directed Commanding Officers to join hands with the Nigeria Police Force to enforce the ban on the spy number plate.

A statement issued by the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, commended the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba on the ban.

The statement urged road users who parade faded number plates to replace them with new ones, adding that private vehicles that are using commercial number plates will be impounded.

It, however, reiterated the implications of the continued use of faded and other unauthorized vehicle number plates to national security.
