IGP Bans Use of Spy Number Plates

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered the ban on the use of SPY Vehicle Number Plates.

A statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, noted that all approvals authorized or not have been revoked indefinitely.

The statement noted that the order became necessary to forestall the continuous disregard for traffic rules and regulations.

It, therefore, directed all Police Officers and Officers of other Security Agencies who use the SPY number plates to ensure prompt compliance with the directive or risk being arrested for violation of the order.
