Correctional Service Debunks Report of Missing Nwachukwu

The Nigeria Correctional Service, NCoS has dismissed reports that Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late Gospel Singer, Osinachi, is missing.

FCT Command Public Relations Officer, Chukwuedo Humphrey who debunked the reports also confirmed that the suspected kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Bala is in custody.

Humphrey said it was untrue that both men escaped during the July 5 jailbreak at the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Abuja.

Recall that reports emerged that both inmates escaped the prison during the terrorist attack on the facility.

Aregbesola Orders NCoS to Improve on Intelligence

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has directed the Nigerian Correctional Service to improve its efforts in intelligence gathering. According to a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Sola Fasure, Aregbesola noted that such information gathered must be acted upon to solve the problem of incessant Custodial Centre attacks. The statement directed Personnel of the Service to ensure that the Custodial Centers are defended against any form of attacks.
