Okupe Withdraws as LP Vice-Presidential Candidate

The Director General of Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, of the Labour Party, Doyin Okupe, has withdrawn as running mate to Obi.

Okupe made this known on Wednesday when he submitted a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, stating his withdrawing from the position.

Recall that the Labour Party and its Presidential Candidate had submitted the name of Okupe as their Vice-Presidential Candidate on a temporary basis to beat the Electoral Umpire’s deadline.
