Rivers State Government has warned Civil Servants in the State against joining the planned solidarity protest proposed by the National leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC.

State Head of Service, Rufus Godwin, who gave the warning, said that disciplinary actions would be taken against any worker who joins the industrial action.

According to Godwin, the State-owned Universities are currently running with no interruption, stressing there is no justifiable reason for State workers to join in the mass protest.

Recall that NLC had last week threatened to embark on a solidarity protest over the failure of the federal government to address the agitations of the striking University Lecturers.
