Correctional Service Reacts to Attack on Kuje Prison

The Nigerian Correctional Service has reacted to the attack on the Custodial Centre in the Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Shuaibu Belgore, stated this on Wednesday during a visit to the facility.

According to him one person has died, with three others injured in the attack

He explained that over 300 of the inmates have been retrieved and more are on the way, adding that about 600 prison inmates fled in the attack last night.
