Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has pledged that his administration would continue to support financial autonomy for the Judiciary in the State.
Okowa made the promise at the Nigerian Bar Association-Section on Legal Practice 2022 Annual Conference in Asaba, the State Capital.
He noted that there cannot be effective rule of law in Nigeria without financial autonomy and independence of the Judiciary.
The Governor, however, charged the Judiciary to entrench the principles of accountability, probity and transparency in the discharge of their duties.
Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, has urged workers to work towards the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Muri-Okunola made this call in a statement issued to newsmen in Ikeja. The statement noted that the State will focus on the role of the Public Institutions and the Public Servants in building back from the COVID-19 pandemic.
