ASUU Gives Update on Strike Action

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has said the industrial action embarked by the Union would be called off if the federal government addresses their concerns.

ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, stated this during an interview with newsmen in Abuja.

Osodeke noted that an agreement had been reached with the government, but yet to be signed.

Federal Government Moves for Ranching in States

The Federal Government has restated its appeal to States to cooperate in ensuring that herders embrace ranching in ending the perennial Farmers-Herdsmen clashes. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, made the appeal in London during his engagements with some International media houses. Mohammed implored state government to ensure that ranching takes place in their states.
