Labour Union embarks on strike in Ogun

Ogun State Chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, have embarked on an indefinite industrial action.

State Chairman of NLC, Emmanuel Bankole, announced the strike action while addressing workers at the State Governor’s Office in Abeokuta, the State Capital.

According to Bankole, the strike became imperative in view of failed promises by the State government.

The Chairman noted that the workers seek payment of outstanding deductions, contributory pension and review of the State Pension law, among others.
