Federal government has ordered the Nigerian Correctional Service to ensure that all fleeing inmates are recaptured.
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, gave the directive at the retreat for Senior Officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Sokoto State.
Aregbesola noted that their continued stay outside the Correctional centers was dangerous to the society.
The Minister added that the DNA of all the inmates at the centers should be captured to have a true picture of their identities.
Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi has approved the appointment of Bamidele Agbede as the new Head of Service in the State Civil Service. According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode, Agbede’s appointment takes effect from July 1, 2022. Until his appointment, the new Head of Service was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport.
