Bello appoints new acting Chief Judge

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has appointed Josiah Mejebi as the acting Chief Judge of the State.

Bello, during the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, charged Mejebi to discharge his duty without fear or favour.

The Governor, who described the Acting Chief Judge as a man of impeccable character, urged him to sustain the feat and assured the Judiciary of the present administration’s support.

NBA urges new acting Chief Justice to reform Judiciary

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Olumide Akpata, has called on the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Olukayode Ariwoola, to reform the Nation’s Judiciary. Akpata made the call in a statement issued on Monday. The statement urged Justice Ariwoola to make judicial reform and the restoration of public confidence in the Judiciary his first task upon assuming office.
