Netflix Lays Off Staff

Streaming giant, Netflix has announced another round of job cuts as it struggles with slowing growth.

The streaming giant said it was cutting 300 more jaobs roughly 4% of its workforce mostly in the US.

This comes after the company reported its first subscriber loss in more than a decade in April.

While Netflix remains the clear leader in the streaming market, it has faced fierce competition in recent years with the launch of rival platforms.

Supreme Court Dismisses Suit Challenging Section 84 of Electoral act 2022

The Supreme Court has dismissed a suit filed against the National Assembly challenging the legality of section 84 (12) of the Electoral Act 2022. In his ruling, the Presiding Judge, Emmanuel Agim held that President Muhammadu Buhari, has no power to challenge the legality of the Electoral Act. Justice Agim, however, noted that the action of the President in instituting the case was declared as gross abuse of Court.
