The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has said it will deploy additional machines and ad hoc Staff following a request by the House of Representatives to extend the deadline for voter’s registration.
Chairman, House Committee on INEC, Aisha Duku made this known during plenary on Wednesday in Abuja.
Recall that the House of Representatives had directed the Committee to meet with the electoral umpire to extend the voter’s registration by 60days.
The Senate has received a formal request from President Muhammadu Buhari to confirm Mohammed Shehu as Chairman of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission. The request was contained in a letter read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, at plenary on Wednesday.
