US Condoles Akeredolu Over Owo Massacre

The United States has condoled with Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over the last Sunday terrorist attack at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo.

A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, revealed that the condolence was contained in a letter signed by the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Leonard.

The statement noted that the U.S. extended its heartfelt condolences to the people of the State and the Owo community.

It condemned the attack and expressed its concern over the growing pattern of violence in communities across the country.

Soludo Gives Reason For Sacking Teachers

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has given reasons for sacking 1,000 Teachers in the State. Soludo made the clarification in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Chris Aburime. The statement revealed that the teachers were relieved of their appointments because they were employed in an unclear manner. The Governor stated that the termination of the appointments was in line with his administration’s effort towards repositioning the education sector.
