The Apex Igbo Socio- Cultural Group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to consider a Southeast Presidency.
A statement signed by the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro urged Buhari to consider the Southeast to avert possible fallout at the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary.
According to the statement, choosing a candidate who might not be a solution to the threats against the unity of the Country should be discarded.
Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has said that the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 Presidential election will emerge through a consensus. Umahi stated this during an interview with newsmen on Monday. The Governor maintained that the APC will not go the way of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in choosing its Presidential Candidate.
