Bus Accident In India Claims 26 Lives

At least 26 people have died and four others injured after a bus plunged into a gorge in a northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.

District police superintendent, Arpan Yaduvanshi, revealed that the bus was carrying 30 people, including the driver, to the remote Hindu pilgrimage site.

Yaduvanshi added that rescue workers were still looking for a missing passenger and the death toll may increase.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi announced a compensation of 200,000 Indian rupees each from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the families of those killed in the accident.
