SSANU Decry Non-Payment of Wage Arrears to Members

The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and allied Institutions has lamented the non-payment of the minimum wage arrears to its members in all Universities of Agriculture and other Research Institutes in the Country.

Speaking during an interview with newsmen on Tuesday, SSANU’s National President, Ibrahim Mohammed, disclosed that Bursars and Registrars across Universities are yet to receive the arrears.

According to Mohammed, the Union acknowledged government’s effort of payment of minimum wage arrears but noted that all Universities of Agriculture have not been paid.

Recall that the Federal Government had commenced payment of N34billion minimum wage consequential adjustments to Education Sector Workers with effect from 2019.
