A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja refused to admit bail to former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Inyang Ekwo held that he was not inclined to admit Okorocha to bail.
Justice Ekwo, however, ordered Okorocha to put the Federal Government on notice to come and defend his detention.
Recalled that Okorocha had on Friday filed a bail request on the grounds that he is a Presidential Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and his Presidential ambition would be jeopardized if not granted bail.
Daniil Medvedev beat Laslo Djere to qualify for the third round of the French Open. Medvedev gained a routine 6-3 6-4 6-3 victory in Thursday's opening match. The Russian will face Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic, who won in four sets against Alexander Bublik.
