Akwa Ibom Signs 732MW Power Plant Agreement

Akwa Ibom State government has entered into a co-location and power production pact with the African Delta Power Limited to produce additional 366 megawatts to the existing 191megawatts of the State-owned Ibom Power Plant.

The agreement which was signed by the State Attorney General and State Commissioner of Justice, Uko Udom with the CEO of African Delta Power, Jemeriah Oluwaseun, indicates that the aggregate maximum capacity of the gas turbine generator units is capable of producing up to 732 megawatts

Speaking at a workshop for Gender Desk Officers across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, in Lagos State, INEC National Commissioner, Kunle Ajayi, regretted that women were only being used for Political rallies.
