The Senior Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Niger Delta Affairs, Ita Enang has resigned.

According to a statement issued by Enang, his resignation is to enable him contest the Akwa Ibom State governorship election.

The statement thanked the President for the opportunity to serve in his government.
