The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has resigned his appointment.

Amaechi’s resignation was confirmed in a tweet by the All Progressives Congress, APC, Twitter UK handle.

His resignation follows President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive that all cabinet members vying for elective offices in the 2023 elections, should resign before May 16.

EFCC arrests suspected internet fraudsters in Imo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested 36 suspected internet fraudsters. A statement issued by the Commission’s Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, revealed that the suspects were arrested by operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command. The statement noted that the suspects were arrested in Owerri, Imo State, following credible intelligence. It added that the suspects would be charged to court after the investigation.
