Supreme Court resolves ownership dispute of oil wells

The Supreme Court has resolved the ownership dispute in 17 oil wells ownership in favor of the Rivers State government.

In a judgment delivered by Emmanuel Agim, the court held that the oil wells within Akri and Mbede communities are within the territories of Rivers State.

The Apex Court, therefore, dismissed the counter claim ownership put forward by the Imo State government.
