Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has called for a speedy resolution to the strike embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
Lawan made the call in a statement signed by his Spokesperson, Ola Awoniyi to celebrate Nigerian workers on the occasion of this year’s May Day.
The statement appealed for an amicable resolution of the ongoing negotiations between the Federal Government and ASUU to ensure that Universities reopen for learning and research.
National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has dispelled reports on social media that some Corps members died in a fire incident involving a bus in Delta State. A statement signed by the State NYSC Coordinator, Alao Olusegun, disclosed that the fire incident did not lead to any casualty. Olusegun implored online reporters to always verify stories to avoid misinformation.
