The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a Nigerian billionaire drug baron.

A statement signed by NDLEA Media Director, Femi Babafemi revealed that the suspect, Afam Ukatu is behind the N3 billion Tramadol deal involving a suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Response Team, IRT, Abba Kyari.

The statement noted that Ukatu is a major importer of large consignments of different brands and high dosages of hard drugs.

It added that the business man owns a pharmaceutical company, which he allegedly uses as a cover to import illicit drugs into the country.

Recall that Kyari and Ukatu were arrested at the terminal of the Lagos state airport in Ikeja after months of surveillance and evading arrest.
