Senate passes amendments to 2022 Appropriation act

The National Assembly has passed amendments to the 2022 Appropriation Act and 2022 Fiscal Framework.
The Senate and the House of Representatives considered and adopted reports on the amendment bills based on the request by the President Muhammadu Buhari.
The parliament approved a new oil price benchmark of $73 per barrel, a new oil production volume of 1.600 million per day, and a PMS subsidy of N4 trillion.
The Fiscal framework raised the deficit in the Federal Government’s budget by N965.42 billion to N7.35 trillion.

NSCDC deploys personnel to Kwara ahead of Ester celebration

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Kwara State, has deployed 800 personnel to man security during the Easter celebrations. The State Commandant of NSCDC, Makinde Ayinla, disclosed that the deployed personnel were drawn from various departments and units of the Corps to ensure security. The commandant enjoined Christians in the state to use the occasion to pray for the state and Nigeria in general.
