Lagos Government to Partner World Bank to Provide Income for Residents

Lagos State government has said it would partner with the World Bank to provide income for at least 10,000 residents of the state.

The state Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Yetunde Arobieke, disclosed this at a meeting with stakeholders in the state.

Arobieke stated that the bi-monthly stipend has impacted greatly on beneficiaries, noting that it has smoothened household consumption, and encourage financial and asset acquisition.

The commissioner, however, commended the Federal Government and the World Bank for their concern and support for poor households in the state and the country in general.
