Lagos State government has said it would partner with the World Bank to provide income for at least 10,000 residents of the state.
The state Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Yetunde Arobieke, disclosed this at a meeting with stakeholders in the state.
Arobieke stated that the bi-monthly stipend has impacted greatly on beneficiaries, noting that it has smoothened household consumption, and encourage financial and asset acquisition.
The commissioner, however, commended the Federal Government and the World Bank for their concern and support for poor households in the state and the country in general.
Ondo State First Lady, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has emphasized on the need for women inclusiveness in governance. Speaking during a town hall meeting and official declaration of her ambition to run for Imo East Senatorial district, Akeredolu stressed that women should be recognized at all levels. The first lady maintained that being married does not stop her from contributing to the growth of her community.
