FG detects workers with fake appointment letters

The Federal Government has detected over 1,500 workers who joined the Federal Civil Service with fake appointment letters in one year.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, revealed this to newsmen, in Abuja, on Tuesday.
Yemi-Esan disclosed that 1,000 culprits were discovered in one ministry; while 500 workers were discovered in other ministries, departments and agencies through a service-wide verification exercise.
He noted that culprits would be delisted from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.

Reps moves to outlaw cross-dressing

The House of Representatives has moved a bill to ban cross-dressing in the country. The bill which was proposed by a member of the house Umar Muda on Tuesday at plenary seeks to outlaw cross-dressing with the exception of individuals who do it for amusement purposes. The lawmaker also proposed 6 months imprisonment or a fine of N500, 000 for anyone found guilty.
