Federal Government Serves Supplementary Order to App Stores Over Loan Apps

The Federal Government has served supplementary orders to mobile Store Apps to take down more loan apps.

A statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer, of Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, Babatunde Irukera said the order was in furtherance of the March 11 raid on certain digital money lenders in Lagos state.

The statement noted that it has also secured new freezing orders against accounts and financial institutions involved.

It revealed that evidence procured from the locations led to further investigative activities, including additional discoveries that are material to the investigation.
