Kwara State House of Assembly has sacked lawmaker, Saheed Popoola over his defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to Social Democratic Party, SDP.

Reacting, the lawmaker stated that his seat should not be declared vacant as he had secured an injunction from the state High Court barring the assembly and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC from declaring his seat vacant.
