FG warns against fake Passport website

Nigeria’s consulate general in New York has raised an alarm over a fake website for passport applications.

A statement issued by the Consulate stated that the attention of the consulate has been drawn to the operations of a website, purporting to be a platform for processing Nigerian passports.

The statement maintained that the website is fake and set up to defraud applicants for Nigerian passport.

It urged Nigerians to always seek proper guidance on passport applications, adding that the consulate will liaise with local authorities and the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters, in Abuja, to investigate this fraudulent website.
