The Federal Executive Council, FEC has approved a new National Policy for Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in Nigeria

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the end of the Council meeting in the State House, yesterday in Abuja.

Farouq, who was excited at the approval described it as a milestone in the government’s determination to bring succor to displaced persons.

FEC approves N89.6 billion for dualisation of Road

The Federal Executive Council, FEC has approved N89.6 billion worth of contracts for award under the Ministries of Works and Housing and Aviation. The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola who disclosed this on Wednesday said the approved contract is for the dualisation of the Odukpani-Itu-Ikot Ekpene road. Fashola commended President Buhari for the approval, stating that the dual carriageway dualisation of the road would be completed within 16months.
