FG to sanction Institution that give admissions outside CAPS

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has warned Tertiary Institutions not to give admissions outside the Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS.

Adamu, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Sonny Echono, gave the warning yesterday at the 2021 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held virtually, at the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB headquarters in Abuja.

He stressed that the warning became necessary to safeguard the integrity of admissions process, adding that all schools must maintain the marks they propose once it is approved.

The Minister maintained that any Institution that violates the directive would be sanctioned.
