Afenifere urges federal government to end banditry

The Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, has urged the Federal Government to put an end to terrorism, kidnapping and banditry in Nigeria.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesman of Afenifere, Jare Ajayi and was made available to newsmen.

The statement revealed that the insecurity challenges can be stopped through state policing.

It added that every community should be alert to defend themselves from bandits.

NCC fixes date for meeting with stakeholders

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC says it has fixed October 5, 2021, for a virtual meeting with stakeholders on revised regulatory instruments in the telecommunications industry. The NCC in a publication on its website said the draft regulatory instruments include registration of telephone subscribers’ regulations, SIM replacement and spectrum trading guidelines. The commission called on interested stakeholders to submit written proposals on the subject on or before September 24, 2021.
