Celtic have signed South Koreans Yang Hyun-jun and Kwon Hyeon-kyu, The Scottish Premiership champions announced this on Monday. Both 21-year-old winger Yang and 22-year-old midfielder Kwon have agreed a five-year contracts with the Glasgow giants.  

Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic became the first unseeded player in 60 years to reach the Wimbledon women’s final on Thursday, crushing the title dreams of Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina. Cameron Norrie beat Taro Daniel to reach the last 16 at Indian Wells. The 10th seed was a set and 4-1 down in California but won the next five games before clinching the second set. The 2021 champion, saw out the decider to claim a  win over the US-born Daniel.

Barcelona captain Alexia Putellas has retained the Women's Ballon d'Or, award of 2022. Putellas, who won the award last year, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the summer and missed Spain's Euro 2022 campaign. Before her injury, she was the Champions League top scorer for Barca last season with 11 goals in 10 games.

Serena Williams claimed her first singles win in 14 months as she beat Spain's Nuria Diaz to reach the second round of the National Bank Open. Williams' last singles success was at the 2021 French Open. She will play either Olympic gold medalist Belinda Bencic or Tereza Martincova next.

Liverpool has received a £19.5million bid from Juventus for their forward, Roberto Firmino. According to reports, the Serie A giants would like to sign Fermino as they seek to improve their frontline ahead of next season. The report added that Fermino has just one year left on his contract with Liverpool. Firmino has scored 98 goals for the Reds since joining the Anfield Club in 2015.

Reports say eight medical personnel will stand trial for criminal negligence in the death of legendary Argentine footballer Diego Maradona. A judge ordered a culpable homicide trial after a medical panel found out that Maradona's treatment was prevalent with deficiencies and irregularities. Former Colombia captain Freddy Rincon has died after suffering severe head injuries in a car crash. Rincon was driving a car that collided with a bus early on Monday in Cali, Colombia. The Former Real Madrid midfielder scored 17 goals for Colombia and played at the 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
