Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said sensitive electoral materials will no longer be kept in the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. Chairman of the Commission, Mahmood Yakubu stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja. Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has launched the regulations and guidelines for the conduct of the 2023 general elections. This was announced on Friday by the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, during a meeting of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security in Abuja. According to Yakubu, the document containing the guidelines for the election would be presented to Nigerians in the next couple of weeks.
The Presidential Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has disqualified 10 Aspirants from its Primaries. This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Committee, John Oyegun, on Friday in Abuja. According to Oyegun, only 13 out of the 23 Aspirants screened were cleared by the Committee.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has revealed plans to reconstitute the State Executive Council. Wike’s decision followed his communication to the State House of Assembly for the screening and confirmation of three Commissioner Nominees.
