Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has called for federal government’s support towards tackling the flood ravaging the State. Soludo made the call during his visit to camps of flood victims in Onitsha North Local Government Area, of the State. He revealed that the flood emanated and surged from Cameroon. The Governor urged the Federal Government to dialogue with Cameroon to proffer lasting solution to the flood.

Commercial Bus Drivers in Imo State have raised alarm over the outrageous and incessant extortion. Speaking with Boss Radio News, a motorist, Chuks Ohaka, who spoke in vernacular, says the extortion is becoming unnecessary from unknown persons. Ohaka, however, hands this piece of advice to the state government as regards curbing extortion by unknown persons. Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the attack on a joint security checkpoint at Amodu in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the State. The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident in a statement. The statement was, however silent on the number of casualties. Recall that the attack, which occurred early Tuesday morning, reportedly claimed two lives.

Benue State Police Command has rescued four kidnap victims. This was disclosed in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Catherine Anene, on Tuesday.
