Rivers to De-recognize Omehia as Former Governor.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, will today sign the official de-recognition of Celestine Omehia as a former governor of the state. This was contained in a statement issued by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri and made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt, the state capital. The cancellation follows Thursday’s adoption of a resolution by the State House of Assembly to de-recognize Omehia.

Nigeria Receives $10.11 billion Diaspora Remittances

Nigerians received $10.11 billion as Diaspora remittances between January and June 2022. This represents a 9.6% increase compared to $9.23 billion received in the corresponding period of 2021. In contrast to the second half of 2021, Nigeria’s Diaspora remittance inflow increased marginally by 0.9% from $10.02 billion.
