Fintiri Declares Ambition to Run for Second Term

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has declared his interest to run for a second term.

Fintiri made this known after swearing in 21 local government chairmen, who were elected on April 9th.

He stated that his decision to seek a second term rose from the support he received from the people who purchased the necessary forms for him.

The governor added that a second term would serve as an opportunity to consolidate on governance.

Lagos Government Warns Heads of Schools Against Covering up Child Abuse

Lagos State Government has warned heads of schools and child-centered institutions against covering up abuses. The Secretary, state Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, stated this during a sensitization programme on child protection policy, in Alausa, Ikeja, the state capital. According to Vivour-Adeniyi, the enlightenment for teachers and principals is to ensure that children under their care are adequately protected.
