Akwa Ibom Governor Implores Immigration to Explore new approaches

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has charged operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, to be discreet in admitting immigrants into the country.

Governor Emmanuel, who was represented by his deputy, Moses Ekpo, gave the charge during a Stakeholders’ Sensitization programme on the Nigeria Visa Policy Document organized by NIS.

He stressed that seemingly innocent visitors which the operatives unwittingly passed into the country could be part of a terrorist sleeper cell.

The Governor harped on the need for NIS to explore new approaches of protecting the nation.
