The United States Embassy in Abuja has begun processing certain non-immigrant visa renewal applications without requiring an interview.

A statement issued by the Embassy’s Senior Public Affairs Specialist, Aisha Gambari, noted that there would be no interviews for visa renewals.

The statement added that parent’s qualifications cannot extend to a child, stressing that the child must independently meet each requirement.

It urged qualified applicants seeking to utilize the no-interview programme to set an appointment for document review online, adding that applicants will not have access to their passport until completion of processing.
