Popular Nigerian musician Seyi Vibez has parted ways with his record label, Dapper Music, and unfollowed his label boss on social media.
This development follows heavy criticism from Nigerians in Toronto, Canada, after the artist cancelled a scheduled show without prior notice.
In response, Seyi Vibez updated his social media bio on Sunday to reflect his new status as an “Independent artist” and proceeded to delete all previous posts as signals the beginning of his independent music career.
A quick check of his Instagram account reveals that both Seyi Vibez and his former label boss, Dapper, have unfollowed each other.
