CIHP raises concerns over vulnerabilities faced by adolescents

The Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) has raised concerns over the challenges faced by adolescents, noting that a good number of them deal with high rates of HIV, mental health issues, substance abuse, and limited access to reproductive health services.
The group, in a press statement signed on Monday by its Chief Executive, Bolanle Oyeledun, stated that it has become expedient that experts sit in and deliberate on the vulnerabilities faced by this critical section of society and find ways to address their challenges.
Oyeledun further stated that this significant demography in the nation’s population appears to have been overlooked and requires sustainable strategies to empower them.
