Ebonyi Government to Take Action Against Residents that Reject Old Notes

Ebonyi State government has promised to take actions against any financial institution, transporters and business owners refusing to accept the old naira notes.

The State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Orlando Nweze, stated that anyone refusing to transact with the old notes is violating the law.

Nweze noted that the State Government will use all available legal means to take decisive action against such.

The Commissioner encouraged residents to go about their normal businesses and to report any act of non-compliance by any business or bank.
