Adeleke Issues Warning to Banks Over New naira Notes

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has warned commercial banks in the state against hoarding the new naira notes.

A statement issued by the Spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, called on banks to either making the new notes available or continue accepting the old currency notes.

The statement lamented the pain of the people under the currency redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

It urged all stakeholders to reach consensus to put an end to the current hardships, and warned against encouraging uprising against the government through unfair policies and actions.
