INEC to Engage Media in Voter Sensitization

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said it would engage the media to ensure voter sensitization and sustain democracy in the country.

Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Olusegun Agbaje, who was represented by the Director of Voter Education, Adenike Tadeshe, disclosed this during a media workshop in Ikeja GRA.

Agbaje stressed that INEC has engaged the media as a critical partner and stakeholder in order to give the widest audience the necessary voter awareness, sensitization, and programmes designed by the commission.

The Commissioner noted that the Electoral body plans to leverage technology, accessibility, and reliability in order to foster transparency, accountability, and level playing field for all stakeholders all through the electoral processes and election cycles.
