FCT Approves N500million for Community Policing in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Administration, has approved the sum of N500million for community policing in Abuja.

FCT Minister Muhammad Bello made the announcement during the Security Committee meeting in Gwarinpa I District.

Bello said the contribution was in recognition of the importance the government attaches to the project expected to suppress crimes and criminality in the territory.

The minister, however, charged Chairmen of the six Area Councils to contribute at least N100million each to further boost the capability of the security agencies.

Orientation Agency Appeals to Nigerians to Aid Flood Victims

The National Orientation Agency, has called on Nigerians to come to the aid of victims of recent flooding in the country. Director General of the Agency, Garba Abari, revealed that the victims are in dire situations that the government alone cannot handle.
